Well, we knew for some time that Baby Thompson inherited the active gene. Judging by all the kicks and ultrasounds, he has been one active guy with a mind of his own from the start! Last Thursday at only 25 weeks and 5 days (yes at this point we are counting days) i went to the doctor because I wasn't feeling quite right. I was quickly redirected to Good Samaritan Hospital.
When we checked into Good Samaritan Hospital I sure they would send us right home but reality hit fast...... I was wrong. I was in full labor with contractions 2 minutes apart.... Baby Thompson decided he was ready to meet the world 15 weeks early- yikes.
Lots of medication, prayers, and a week in the hospital later Baby Thompson still hasn't made an appearance but I'm on strict bed rest. Which is impossibly difficult but better than delivering early.
More than anything I have been completely taken aback by how amazing my family and friends have been. I'm horribly independent and despise asking for help. But through all this I have been touched beyond words by the support Phil and I have received.
So today we're 26 weeks and 5 days, with a goal of 28 weeks! I'll keep you posted. Lame pun intended.
Sara, I'm so glad you were able to go home! I'm sure bedrest cannot be too much fun, but just think of it as a short term event leading up to when you get to meet your little man! We would love to stop by and visit with you guys! Perhaps bring you lots of cheesy magazines and dinner! :) You all are certainly in our thoughts and prayers! :)
ReplyDeleteyou're a trooper, sara! hang in there. praying that that little nephew of mine starts cooperating with gestation. :)
ReplyDeleteBaby T just can't wait to meet his fabulous parents! Hopefully he didn't kick too much on Mother's Day. Hang in there, Sara, it will all be worth it when he does finally make his appearance (but hopefully not anytime soon!)
ReplyDeleteSara,
ReplyDeleteSending much love your way. Hopefully your lil' peanut will stay comfy, cozy, and warm in your belly for many weeks to come. Everyday counts, so enjoy catching up on your dvr and reading gossip magazines.
Love,
Christie
