The other day at the playground Sam found this....
But after we bought it we felt a bit guilty giving Sam such a big gift without making him earn it. So we brainstormed on what he could do to earn it....
Wait until his birthday to give it to him....July 22- NO WAY!
Learn the alphabet...no
potty train....no
We were way too excited to give it to him to wait for such big hurdles
Give up the pacifier at bed time...YES!!
So upon presenting this to Sam as big boys ride bikes & babies use pacifiers and as soon as you can sleep without a pacifier (which shouldn't be a big deal as it falls out 2 seconds after he is asleep) his response was: "I don't need a new bike."
Well played Sam. Well played.
The boys sharing a bean bag...
after Sam woke up first, went into Luke's room crawled into Luke's crib and woke him up by doing a cannonball onto his back because he "wanted to play with him"
Saturday after the Hoosiers loss we went to an area called Discovery Bay and unwinded with a walk on the beach.
Its a really cool area you can only get to by a 25 minute ferry ride. It's a small community, a little more western and much more child friendly.
I think we'll be looking into moving there when our lease is up next year.
Today we were back at Ocean Park.
The older Luke gets the more the boys play with each other and I realize we have double trouble.....
The little girl I babysit refuses to give up her pacifiers too! Sesame Street has a movie on that with Elmo, if you're interested... there's a song about "Bye, bye Binky!"
ReplyDeleteThe boys are too cute! Love this post.
