Sunday kicked off the Chinese Year of the Snake.
We aren't sure what to expect from this year as we don't like snakes....
but so far here's what we've been up to....
We started off by attending the Parkview Dragon Dance.
Luke & I got up close....
Here's a small clip of the dance...
Then the boys decided to test their luck with the ladies in the new year....
Sam had a more direct approach....
While Luke's more of a play it cool kind of guy.
Neither were successful in getting any numbers.
Then we had a very special guest....an American Mexican mafia member from Queretaro, Mexico
Monday we hit up Stanley.
We started off with a run in from a French man who mistook himself for David Beckham on the soccer field and knocked Luke off his scooter causing a meltdown for which he had to endure the rath of a hormonal pregnant woman.
We decided to leave the area when Sam flipped over the front of his scooter putting an end to his chin modeling career. While Frenchman Beckham wasn't responsible for Sam's injury, I blame him completely.
We rebounded on the playground...
We hit up a temple
Threw some money at a lucky turtle, made a wish
And had a good morning despite the fact that no one would buy the poor boys any ice cream....
We spent the afternoon at the happy valley track. It was a hidden gem we stumbled upon, where we had lots of space to run & play....
And relax....
Or in Sam's case, sit on the bleachers because "there wasn't enough shade"
We also stumbled across a couple of tractors, which so far is the highlight of the boys life.....
We ended the night with dinner at a friends, some wii & New Years fireworks...
Today we woke up bright and early and hit up the Mong Kok flower & bird markets....
Pimpin ain't easy....
Luke fed the birds a live cricket......
We made it home without a flower or a bird.
We're making the most of Daddy being home for the New Year holiday and spending some last days together as a family of four.....
