Typhoons, Turbo, & Tears.

This week we were hit with a Typhoon 8.
So, we went to see Turbo with a friend!!!!!

Below average movie.
Way above average cute kids.

And then we came home and turned our kitchen table into a large tent.
Makes sense.

Today was Sam's orientation at his new school. Phil, Sam & I went to school for one hour to meet his teacher and see his classroom.

Now, I'm not one who will tear up, gather myself and carry on. I'm either fine or a complete blubbery sloppy mess.

So we walked in, Sat down with the teacher (just Phil, Sam and I) and He asked,
"So, is Sam you're oldest child?"
And then I lost it.
(I mean, who asks such a hurtful question!?!?)
I heard Phil say, "Here come the waterworks" and I don't remember much else until a taxi dropped Sam & I off at Starbucks.

Somehow these pictures ended up on my phone:

Sam in the school sandbox

leaving through the school metal detectors

Now I'm back home mentally rebooting & watching the boys draw on my windows and fight over whose name is Sam & which one of them is 9 years old.

And praying for another typhoon so school gets canceled.
