Reality

Grandma got Sam this for his 2nd birthday and put it in our garage.
A case of spring fever hit and I opened it a bit early.... (I have never been able to give anyone their gift on the actual day I was supposed to. Phil has gotten every birthday, anniversary, and Xmas gift about 45 seconds after I returned home from purchasing it. It's just not in my DNA to deliver things at the appropriate time. I just had a surprise birthday party for my brother, whose birthday is in May because once I decided to have said party, I couldn't stand the idea of waiting until his actual birthday to have it. Yes, I know I need professional help.)

Anyway...
This is what the box looked like. Nice, clean, toddler fun.

Ten seconds after assembly.....all is well.....
fifteen seconds after assembly....mom's thinking we have a hit
twenty seconds....
sweatshirt off...
moms thinking... "I should have put a bib on him"

Thirty seconds...
a tornado of sand and water later this is what the toy looks like in REALITY
Moms now thinking, "Those kids on the box are stupid and this table might be more suitable in grandma's living room"
Not sure play sand was made for eating.....
BUT IT SURE TASTES GOOD!!!!
Someones getting a LONG BATH tonight....
assuming I decide to let him back in the house again

  1. look at that happy face!! don't know why, but of course sand and water must be mixed (and eaten and deposited on places like the middle of the patio). drives me crazy. we've had our water table like that for several years, and everybody still loves it.
