Fall is(n't) here!!!!

So it's mid-September which in the states means FALL!!!

The BEST time of the year!

Unfortunately there is no change of seasons here, which makes me miss the states a bit. 

I wish I could take the kids on long walks around our old neighborhood, 

go to pumpkin patches, horseback ride, have lots of outdoor play dates & enjoy child friendly parks full of trees changing color. Take our annual trip to an IU football game...

I'm missing target & Kroger...pumpkin scented candles, honey crisp apples, apple butter (maybe I'm just hungry?) and all those wonderful places you can go and waste money on fall decorations. 

And, while I'm at it- I wouldn't mind seeing some friends, a long run around Hyde Park and a chai tea...

The list goes on but I think you get the idea 

But we're making the most of HK and just yesterday Luke was invited to a birthday party!

(They made to a point to say siblings not included so poor Sam had to stay home)

And as usual Luke was an absolute Bear.....

Last night we took the boys outside because apparently chasing each other in circles is more fun than any toy we own....

SO, this morning - in an attempt to explore HK a bit more I went on a hiking trail around Parkview. 

It was almost all stairs and all uphill. It was good exercise and when I got to the top my efforts were rewarded with this view...

And I had to document the "Caution- do not fall to your death" sign.
