Last Sunday we boarded a flight with 3 very small children and headed to Toyko to visit our friends....
We had an amazing time!
We relaxed......
Went out as grown ups......
Here we are in Shibuya
And the kids had an amazing time......
The Tokyo zoo....
Lalaport Toyosu,
an open park type area on the water......
As you can see Sam momentarily turned into forest gump....
And a slide park within walking distance from the house....
Hmmm......To slide or to ride?????????
Mom's favorite- riding bikes around Ropungi Hills with this guy.....
On Wednesday morning we headed to Hakone Japan.
It was beautiful & there were so many outdoor activities to do. An Open Air Museum, a cable car to hot springs with black eggs that add years to your life etc...
Unfortunately it was raining.....
We were only able to squeeze in one temple visit....
BUT there was indoor hot spring place across the street from us, that had TONS to do......
Sorry for all the pics but it was AWESOME....
All the water in all the pools/ hot springs was natural hot spring water and very warm
Coffee Hot Bath....
Natural Water Hot Bath
Rock Hot Bath
Japanese Traditional Hot Bath
Green Tea Hot Bath
Hot Marble Resting Place...
Red Wine Hot Bath
Walking Bath
A Hot Bath where fish nibble your toes.....
And MANY More.....
And check out the kids area....
We also squeezed in a visit to the Hakone Zoo (Which was more like the SPCA) and the aquarium
And included an escaped lizard
And a dead bug.....
And if that wasn't enough.....
GAME ROOM!!!!!
Here's Phil taking out his frustration on a boxing game.
We spent the last day of our trip back in Tokyo enjoying our wonderful friends an another beautiful park....
Last Tokyo meal after a week of "normal" food...
