Happy Halloween

This week started off with a Sunday morning coffee run.
Perhaps the disastrous construction site we stopped to gaze at was a foreshadowing of what was to come....

The afternoon was filled with Daddy's first Hoosier showing

Hoops....

And Formula 1, which is rapidly becoming a new obsession.....

Things took a turn for the worse on Tuesday when a simple 45 minutes scooting around turned into this....

ONE. BIG. NIGHTMARE.
He fell off his scooter, split his chin open and hurt his finger. Luke started melting down too, out of fear.
We couldn't get a cab. Finally got a cab and the cabbie spoke no English and went the wrong way....
Got to the hospital, less than amazing service but it was fast.....
6 stitches. Xray showed no break in his hand.....

Phil, who was "entertaining a customer" got the call to come to the hospital and help me, and tripped over curb....

The icing on the cake was yesterday, two days after the incident...the ER doc calls and basically says,
Um, I took another look at Sam's x-ray and it seems his finger is broken after all......

On a happier note,
Yesterday was Halloween!!!!

Sam's school parade.....
Kids were dressed up their favorite storybook character.
He went as Cowboy Small, from a book by the same title.

Luke's school parade

Afternoon relaxing......

Dress up time......

This time Sam was supposed to be the lone ranger.
(He didn't want to wear the mask because he was afraid it would fall off and hurt his chin?)

Buzz

My pumpkin...

Party at our neighbors......

AND TRICK OR TREAT TIME!!!!!!!

(Noah, still not quite sitting up...)

BREAK TIME!

And bed time!!!!!
Ahhh.....

Grandpa wins the award this year for most supportive Halloween costume.....

Oh, and here is Sam's R1 school picture.

 Happy Halloween!!!!!!

  1. Oh no! I hadn't heard about the finger! Is he in a splint or anything?
