You know you're on bed rest when....

The highlight of the month is your dog catching & accidentally killing her first chipmunk....AND then you're excited enough to post it on you blog.

Even better news - Baby Thompson is now 7 months and counting!

4 more critical weeks, and we'll be able to relax a bit. Thanks for all your prayers, visits, and gifts!!

Labor!?

Well, we knew for some time that Baby Thompson inherited the active gene. Judging by all the kicks and ultrasounds, he has been one active guy with a mind of his own from the start! Last Thursday at only 25 weeks and 5 days (yes at this point we are counting days) i went to the doctor because I wasn't feeling quite right. I was quickly redirected to Good Samaritan Hospital.

When we checked into Good Samaritan Hospital I sure they would send us right home but reality hit fast...... I was wrong. I was in full labor with contractions 2 minutes apart.... Baby Thompson decided he was ready to meet the world 15 weeks early- yikes.

Lots of medication, prayers, and a week in the hospital later Baby Thompson still hasn't made an appearance but I'm on strict bed rest. Which is impossibly difficult but better than delivering early.

More than anything I have been completely taken aback by how amazing my family and friends have been. I'm horribly independent and despise asking for help. But through all this I have been touched beyond words by the support Phil and I have received.

So today we're 26 weeks and 5 days, with a goal of 28 weeks! I'll keep you posted. Lame pun intended.
