Farewell Hong Kong.

I'm making my LAST Hong Kong blog.
We are a little sadder than we thought we'd be to say good-bye.
But we are soooo excited to be home!

Here's a few pics from our last days.....

Going away Boat Party

Last trip to Stanley....

Last rugby class

Girls dinner

Sams last asian bus ride....

And it's go time!

The packers are here today and tomorrow and we leave Saturday morning.

Thanks to everyone who has called or emailed to wish us a safe journey and welcome us home!
We can't wait to see you!

Sarah - starting Sunday you're officially in danger while running.

Please say a prayer for a safe flight....

I do not like green eggs and ham!

We are 8 days from flying back to the US.
Prayers for a safe non disappearing flight are appreciated!

Here is a going away lunch Phil's office had for him...

Parting gift....

And this is the BEST invention ever!!!

This guy has come down with a horrible case of Hand Foot & Mouth.
His mouth, Hands, Feet and legs up to his thighs are covered in tiny red blisters and he isn't eating or sleeping.

This is us in the wee hours of the morning watching the real housewives of Beverly hills.
Hey, if he's going to keep me up all night, I get to pick the show!!

Lately, when discussing moving back to the US with Phil, I feel like the main character in Dr. Suess' Green Eggs and Ham....
We have been researching cars.
He's been researching minivans & I've been researching suburbans.

Everyone who has kids and a minivan says how great & practical they are. The sliding doors are wonderful. Great gas mileage. On and on....

I do not like minivans.
I do not like them here or there.
I do not like them anywhere.

I'm sure we will end up getting one, and like the character in the much loved book, I may be singing a different tune.
But I doubt it.

And yes, I realize a lot of people in the world would love a nice minivan.
Let me know if you know any, I'll give them my address. My minivan will be unlocked in the driveway.

Whole Birthdays, Half Birthdays, Almost Birthdays & Goodbyes

This past week was the week of parties!!!

Thursday Sam had a half birthday party at his school because we are moving and his teacher didn't want him to get short changed...

Here are the videos of his celebration:

Friday Grandpa turned 64!!!!!
We aren't there to celebrate with him, but we will have a delayed party in a couple weeks when we are stateside!!!!

Happy birthday Grandpa!
We love you!

Also on Friday, Noah turned 11 months old!!!!
I CAN NOT believe he's almost one.

He says Momma, Dadda & Bye.
He can wave, clap & shake his head no.
He can stand for about 5 seconds, and has taken 2-3 steps.

Saturday we had a going away party for the boys on the beach, which was a small miracle because
1. We've been having monsoons all week
2. It rained all day up to the party
3. Our wonderful friends trekked out in the gloomy weather to make the boys feel loved!

We will really miss all the wonderful friends we have made here.
We feel so blessed our paths crossed with each of these wonderful families....

I need more coffee!!!!!

Well, Daddy is off gallivanting around China.
We are 85% over the RSV fun and are surviving on lots of coffee!!
(Here's Luke with our wonderful helper Lita, taking sips of my coffee with a spoon)

Hmm, maybe too much coffee.

I'm attempting to pack, without much luck....

And doing everything I can to keep these rowdy boys entertained.
The monsoons we are having don't help.

This was 5:15 am Monday Morning....

5:45

And it was such a long day, we did bath time at 5 PM.

This week, I have a birthday party for Sam at his school on Thursday morning
(His sweet and thoughtful teacher wanted him to get to celebrate his July birthday before we moved so we are doing a 4.75 party)

Thursday afternoon I have a going away play date at our apartment, Friday morning I have a party for Luke at his school and Saturday we are having a big going away party for the kids on the beach which I have done NOTHING to prepare for yet.

I wish HK had target. Or Kroger. or Walmart. Or less asians.
I digress.

Happy Monday!!!!
