Staples

Friday was a big school day.
The zoo visited the classes, Luke had Pajama day & a belated birthday party!

Saturday we had swimming

Noah indulged in some risotto and sparking water for lunch, which he found to be quite refreshing

And then we hit up the children's museum.

This morning we snuggled, played & did a final lap of school tours.
We've finally decided on a school for next year and both Phil and I feel really good about it.
Whew.

Oh, and then Sam fell.

And 31 days after Noah split his chin open

Sam had to get his head stapled.
WITHOUT Novocain.
OUCH.
The kids a trooper....

Here's to a healthy week!

Sneak Peak

This week we had a sneak peak of spring weather.
And we LOVED it!!!

We dug in the mud

Went on a LONG bike ride....

And Splashed in puddles

That night we got one of these....
(which, come to think of it, we should have had since about 9 months.)

More warm weather PLEASE!!!!

In other news...
With the terrible two's rapidly approaching, Noah is working on his attitude.
I think he's got it down.

Baby it's cold outside.

It's January. It's cold. I have the 3 most high energy boys on the planet.

These things don't mix well.

We've been filling our time with swim lessons.

Basketball.

Lunch dates
( I know the smoothies don't help the whole thing, but some things are worth the pain.)

And karate starts Wednesday.
Woo hoo!!!!

Summer activities, like running in the sprinkler & riding bikes, are much more affordable.

I constantly feel like I don't spend enough quality time with my kids.
I am ALWAYS with them but it's not always quality time, and it's rarely one on one.
So this weekend I took bear on a date.
To his place of choice.

The Train museum.

We had a blast.

Sunday, I took Sam on date to his place of choice.
An ice cream shop.

Noah gets plenty of attention between mommy time when his brothers are at school and being up all night.
So he and I settled on coffee at home.

Lately we've been sleeping like this:

In seperable. In my bed.
Yesterday, they were watching TV and Luke was using Sam's head as a foot rest.
And Sam didn't mind.

I love how close they are.

Noah, has also been sleeping in a big bed more and more.

My babies are getting so big!

And last, here is an excerpt from Michael Keatons Golden Globe speak which was amazing.
Check out the whole thing if you can.

The new Thompson  house rules:

Ok. Spring. We're ready for you!!

A Birthday, New Years, Basketball & more

Well, Bear turned 4!
He was DESPERATE to be 4 because that's the minimum age for basketball.
More on that later.

We celebrated with a play date and going to a train museum. Bear LOVED it. He didn't move for almost 45 minutes.

I love you SO much BEAR!

This year I put up all the Christmas decorations by myself. Including the tree.
I also took them all down by myself.
Next year I will be soliciting help.

Not this kind....

But I did manage to get the entire tree back in the box!

We rang in 2015 with a sleep over with our good friends.
Everyone had so much fun we have already decided to make this a tradition.

(Noah was fast asleep by this point)

We have had COLD weather and no school.
Thank goodness for ALL our toys to keep us busy
"I think I found the probelm. There's no engine."

My favorite?
A matchbox car maker.
SO easy. SO fun.
I think I like it more than the boys.

Train tracks.

The result?
paint creations, car creations, sea monkeys, kinetic sand, growing crystals...
and my coffee pot.

Now what mom?

Last night kicked off basketball season.
Sam and Bear are on the same team.
By choice.
For my sanity.
Luke's #10 and Sam's #2
(Phil's the assistant coach)

Today was the first day back to school for Sam, and the second day in this shirt for Bear.

Happy Happy 2015!!
