Happy Halloween

This week started off with a Sunday morning coffee run.
Perhaps the disastrous construction site we stopped to gaze at was a foreshadowing of what was to come....

The afternoon was filled with Daddy's first Hoosier showing

Hoops....

And Formula 1, which is rapidly becoming a new obsession.....

Things took a turn for the worse on Tuesday when a simple 45 minutes scooting around turned into this....

ONE. BIG. NIGHTMARE.
He fell off his scooter, split his chin open and hurt his finger. Luke started melting down too, out of fear.
We couldn't get a cab. Finally got a cab and the cabbie spoke no English and went the wrong way....
Got to the hospital, less than amazing service but it was fast.....
6 stitches. Xray showed no break in his hand.....

Phil, who was "entertaining a customer" got the call to come to the hospital and help me, and tripped over curb....

The icing on the cake was yesterday, two days after the incident...the ER doc calls and basically says,
Um, I took another look at Sam's x-ray and it seems his finger is broken after all......

On a happier note,
Yesterday was Halloween!!!!

Sam's school parade.....
Kids were dressed up their favorite storybook character.
He went as Cowboy Small, from a book by the same title.

Luke's school parade

Afternoon relaxing......

Dress up time......

This time Sam was supposed to be the lone ranger.
(He didn't want to wear the mask because he was afraid it would fall off and hurt his chin?)

Buzz

My pumpkin...

Party at our neighbors......

AND TRICK OR TREAT TIME!!!!!!!

(Noah, still not quite sitting up...)

BREAK TIME!

And bed time!!!!!
Ahhh.....

Grandpa wins the award this year for most supportive Halloween costume.....

Oh, and here is Sam's R1 school picture.

 Happy Halloween!!!!!!

It's not even noon?!?!?!

4:00 Sam crawls into bed with me. (Which I think is sweet because he always comes to my side of the bed and crawls under the covers) we snuggle and fall asleep

4:15 I awake to hear Luke calling for me. I go to his room to find him bouncing on his bed demanding apple juice and television. I compromise, get the juice and we lay down in his bed together. I find this slightly less sweet because he proceeds to move as much as humanly possible while remaining laying down.

5:00 Noah's up. Thank god I hear Phil go get him.

5:15 Luke is still performing acrobatics and I decide tv would be less frustrating than attempting to tame Luke and coerce him into slumber. I also realize, I'm wide awake so there's no sense in Phil being up too. Luke and I report to the tv room, play with Noah, turn on the tv and Phil goes back to bed.

6:30 Sam is up. Phil's up.

6:45 Give the boys breakfast. I'm feeding Noah cereal and he projectile vomits everywhere courtesy of Phil's immature pyloric valve gene. Sam and Luke find it hysterical.

6:46 bathe Noah

7:00 Noah falls asleep. I'm jealous.

7:05 Sam gets on the bus. I shower for the first time in... Nevermind that.

7:30 give Luke his nebulizer, write a note warning his teachers he's been up since 4 and beg them to keep him awake because if he naps it's going to be in MY watch!!!!

8:05 Luke gets on the bus

8:15- Noah's asleep, Sam and Luke are at school and I lay down. As my eye lids shut.... Waaaaa waaaa. Noah's up. Play with Noah, feed him again. He's pretty cute so I forget my exhaustion.

9:15 Off to a dr appointment. Annual dermatologist visit. If I explain my morning maybe he'll give me some free Botox......

Sub 10am ....Elevator count: 11

10:05 no skin cancer. Also no Botox. Call this one a wash. Heading home. Another elevator. Sigh.

10:15 In a taxi. Smelly and getting pulled over. Not sure why. Policeman looks like Jon gosslin and no one is speaking English. This isn't my day.

10:45- home safe. Playing with Noah and blogging 15Min till SAMs bus arrives. 45 min until Luke's bus arrives.
Sigh of relief.

Elevator count so far: 14

And if you've read all that and really just wanted to see a picture.....
Here you go

And I couldn't resist this one....
Best onesie ever!!!!

Pumpkins and concrete.....

Last week Sam had his Field Day at school.
I showed up with Luke & Noah in tow thinking he would be SO happy to see his Mom & Brothers!

Wrong!
He spent most of the time avoiding us like the plague.
But I did manage a few snaps.....

This past weekend we went to a pumpkin festival.

What's a pumpkin festival like in Hong Kong?
This is pretty much it.....

No Apple Cider, Hay Rides or crisp fall air.
Just some drastically over priced pumpkins, a pie throwing contest.....

A teenager screaming loudly into a microphone

OH! And a bouncy house....

Never the less,
We got our pumpkins, carved em and are one step closer to Halloween!!!!
